Video Competition
U of C Bookstore Kickoff Video Competition
- Eligibility: No purchase necessary to enter or win. Competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at the University of Calgary, and University of Calgary staff, faculty and alumni. Competition closes at noon on Friday, September 11, 2009.
- Entry: Limit of one entry per person. The University of Calgary is not responsible for any lost, late, delayed, illegible, incomplete, mutilated, or misdirected entries. No facsimiles or mechanical reproductions of entries will be permitted. All entries become the property of the University of Calgary, and will not be returned. Your entry will be disqualified if you (i) provide information that is incomplete, inaccurate or fraudulent; or (ii) fail to comply or circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules.
- Competition Guidelines: Entrants are asked to submit a 30-second video promoting KICKOFF ’09 and the season home opener for Dinos Football vs the University of Alberta Golden Bears. The KICKOFF ’09 logo and sample graphics can be obtained on the KICKOFF website at www.uofckickoff.com. The top three entries will be shown live at the Dinos Football home opener at McMahon Stadium on Saturday, September 12, 2009. Specifications for entries are:
- Must not exceed 30 seconds
- Must be in Quicktime, MP4 or DVD format
- One entry per person
- Should include sound
- Language and content must be appropriate for viewers of all ages
- Winners give the University of Calgary to announce their name as the winner and use the name, photograph or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

Prize: There is one (1) grand prize eligible to be won, consisting of a MacBook Computer. Two (2) additional prizes of an 8gb iPod Touch will be awarded for second and third place. The total combined retail value of the prizes is $1,950. The University of Calgary Bookstore reserves the right to substitute any element of the prize with a prize of equal or greater value due to unavailability for any reason. Prize package has no cash value and no cash redemption. Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant’s status as a currently enrolled student, current staff or faculty member, or alumnus of the University of Calgary will be verified.

Judging: Final judging will begin at noon on Friday, September 11, 2009 and winners will be notified prior to 4 pm on the same day.
